I have melissiophobia (phobia of bees.) What do I do???!

I have melissiophobia (phobia of bees.) What do I do???

When I say that I have melissiophobia, I am not even kidding. I am more scared of bees than anybody else that you know, I can almost guarantee. If I see a bee outside, I will not walk out there. I have been asked to get the mail but to get there, there are lots of flowers on the way there and I wouldn't get it and made somebody else get it. What can I do for this??? It effects my life greatly and would do anything to get rid of this phobia. PLEASE HELP MEE!!!!! In NEED of DESPERATE help.

People, I don't want you writing things like, "Just beeeee yourself!" anymore. I am seriously scared of bees! I don't want people to think that that will make me laugh and get over my fears. Not to be rude or anything, but it just won't help me.

People say, "Oh come on, sweetheart. They won't hurt you. They will only hurt you if you annoy them." Well, I've got news for you people who say that. THEY WILL DO THINGS TO YOU!! I got stung during soccer season, and I was scared and upset more than anyone could ever imagine. I didn't even do anything to the stupid little bug! AHH!! I just want to scream.

Phobias can be seriously debilitating. The best way to recover from one is to confront the phobia's source. In your case you need to learn as much as you can about bees. Read a few books about them and catch some nature programs about them. Think about bees until visualizing them in your mind doesn't bother you. After you learn about bees you should be able to adopt some practices to avoid them. Also, you will become comfortable thinking about and associating mentally with bees. Then you should try to come into close contact with a bee in a non-threatening situation. Do you know anyone with a hive the you could visit ? After you have done some of these things your phobia should naturally subside. Phobias are one of the most debilitating mental disorders but also one of the easiest to overcome.
