i currently take strattera, but will i have to take it my whole life????????????? sometimes i feel as if im dependant on it, and when i stop taking it i become, depressed, gain weight, cant focus, etc...

I was never treat as a child for the adhd but looking back even my own mother said I had it now I have a 7 year old that has adhd. I know this I do well with out the ADHD meds as now I am an adult and I know that I only had a mild case of it. I know some people can learn to control it with out meds as you get older but others can't and have to stay on the meds. you have to look at if its a benefit of hindering you and what is best. it all goes on a case to case thing as I have other mental health disorders such as bipolar and can't live with out meds most of the time if not all.
