Why do those who claim to love the truth feel the need lie when they claim to be!

Question:

Why do those who claim to love the truth feel the need lie when they claim to be self-righteous?

"It'll be alright" has done it yet again-I'm guessing she blocked me as I cannot read or respond to her questions after I answered the last one which I have copied and pasted a portion of below. Note that she claims she has not blocked me and yet I cannot read this post unless I actually log out while the screen says the question is not available and then return to answers without logging in-that's the only way I could even read what she accuses me of. Weird, huh? I am wondering if anyone else is unable to read this question of hers and the accompanying text when you click on it. I cannot even respond to anything she posts as it tells me it is unavailable when I click the question.

Why is it that no one in mental health really wants anything to change and get better, is it because of NAMI?
You are:
Opester
Your Answer:
Of course we want things to change in mental health, but not necessarily in the way that your "vision" of change would suggest. No one with any experience in mental health, either as a consumer/client or as a professional would ever question the reality or existence of mental illness. The level of your denial regarding mental illness, which comes across as a lack of compassion and knowledge, leads you to make faulty assumptions about the causes and the solutions that are needed.
The lack of a "cure" for mental illness frustrates us all, but you take out your frustration by attacking NAMI, psychiatry and anyone who attempts to treat those who are disabled with the best tools we have at present. No one will argue with you that there is no "cure" or that there are certainly flaws in the system. No one will argue that medication and/or therapy

No one will argue that medication and/or therapy is capable of eradicating mental illness, but we will continue to argue that mental illness is most certainly real and that both meds and therapy have proven efficacy in relieving its symptoms. Your attacks on NAMI and professionals who are doing the best they can with what they have are wholly unjustified and offensive. In fact, your belief in a NAMI-driven conspiracy to promote mental illness in order to sell drugs and therapy is nothing short of paranoia.
You have variously claimed in different posts to be a professional advocate, however your behavior here demonstrates you have no real interest in authentic or constructive feedback as you continue to disregard all opinions and solutions that attempt to show you the many gray areas that your black and white viewpoint does not accommodate. Perhaps the real change needed here is in your attitude and your thinking. Professional advocates do not behave as you do nor do they consistently

offend those they claim to serve. It is a shame that your energy and perseverance is so misdirected as there is much good you could do if you were able to see beyond the dogma you preach and begin to really sift through the diverse information available and make rational judgments about issues that are not so black and white as you prefer to make them. You split everyone into either demons or idols and your grandiose sense of self-importance makes me really question the genuineness of your motives.
Go ahead and delete this question, as is your pattern when anyone posts rational opinions that disagree with you, as this time I have it saved for future use.

I have already asked you to put your name and credentials here so that I can find out who you are and we can be straight up about this, you refuse to do that you are hiding behind an avatar right? that makes you brave, give us your real name and then I will find out who you are, saving this for what? what kind of future use will you put it to I am not hiding my questions or answers from anyone including you so who is being more upright here and I have a right to believe anything I have the facts to support me believing and you have no right to push anything on me or anyone else, you do have the right to your own oppinion, but not to attack me with as you have ever since I have gotten on here, someone knows where all the reports on me came from

Okay-back to me again...
Does anyone have any suggestions of what I might do or how to approach this person differently so that she might get a grip? And has anyone else experienced the same problem with trying to read her posts?

Thanks Lisa! I don't want to whine and I hardly care anymore what she says about me, but I do want to keep her in the spotlight so people recognize her nonsense and don't take her "advice" too seriously. I worry about the newbies on here who may not check out her questions and prior posts. Did she block you too?

Thanks so much Livie-I'll be in touch if I can figure out how to do it!

Thanks all-great idea vinster if I could figure out how to do that-I'm not great at this sort of thing. I have no desire to harrass the woman, just to see her get some help or perhaps do a little introspection, but I know that's unlikely to happen. But I do have concerns about what vulnerable people here may do in response to some of what she says and I hate seeing folks get hurt. Thank you too Ann-I just worry that people may be misled by some of her claims and advice if they are new to answers. But then maybe others online are a lot quicker than I am in getting how these things work!

Thanks Eddie! I'm keeping the faith!

Answers:

i think people that love the truth feel the need to lie because they cannot accept the real truth, and feel the need to lie ,because it gives them more power and feeds into their self righteousness. the person who you are referring to also reminds me of another person who also ranted and raved with inaccurate, and danger sous accusations. this person was more dangerous, and would have several avatars, and answer peoples questions saying they were a doctor. they also thought that the free masons were behind the mental health problems we had and that the Scientology was the best anser, he was so frustrated with the truth , he centered me out and said tom cruise was going to kill me. yahoo answers is extremely lucky to have you on this site. your experience, professionalism, and very caring attitude is very help full to a lot of people. eventually this person was no longer on answers. the person you are dealing with has very fixed beliefs, and i doubt if any body can change her mind. it is a shame that an intelligent person like that is so brain washed into these beliefs. keep up the good work, don't let one person rob you of your great ability to help others.
