Stress and the sympoms caused?!

Question:

Stress and the sympoms caused?

I've got an awful lot going on, and I know I'm stressed out. What I'm curious to know is if stress could cause all of these things or if something else could be an underlying cause as well. I'm irritable, a little paranoid, I tend to zone out and lose my concentration (happens a lot and my gf will say something, I'll catch the last part and tune in just as she finishes, and the only thing I can say is "Huh", makes her quite mad), making some stupid decisions and mistakes I wouldn't make under normal curcumstances, a complete lack of interest in some things I used to find pleasure in, a kind of clingy sense of panic (my gf and I are currently seperated and working on a few things, and it scares me when she is out with her friends, I have a REALLY hard time doing ANYTHING until she's home), and one of the major ones, a decline in preformance sexually. I can't think of any other things, even though I'm certain that there were a few more... oh did I mention forgetfullness?

Answers:

OK... I'm not a doctor or anything, but I seriously suggest talking to one. I'm not trying to be mean but what you are describing sounds like you might have Bi-Polar or something. You are describing what I feel like when I am manic. Even if it's nothing serious, there are still medications that can help you get through a tough time! People without any underlying mental illness often go on meds for a short amount of time to help them think more clearly. But, like I said... go talk it over with a doc.
