Answers:

Yes, Zoloft can definitely make one feel apathetic. One thing that your doctor probably failed to mention was the huge list of side effects that Zoloft has. Some other side effects include memory loss, sexual dysfunction, hallucinations, mania etc. Many of these side effects can become permanent. For example, you can get permanent sexual dysfunction called Post SSRI Sexual Dysfunction. I recommend that you do not take Zoloft anymore and try as many non-drug therapies as possible. Zoloft, other SSRIs and pretty much all psychiatric / neurological types of medications cause permanent brain damage. You might want to check out The Antidepressant Fact Book by Peter Breggin or just do a lot of different Google searches about the side effects of Zoloft. SSRIs and other psychiatric drugs have ruined my life and I do not want to see your life ruined because of them. If you have any other questions about these drugs, please feel free to ask me.
