Confidence problems?!

Question:

Confidence problems?

Ive always had confidence issues because of something that happened in my childhood and it never improved, ive always had people talk for me and never socialised properly as i didnt want to be anywhere near people, so i gave up trying and its just got worse. i cant make conversation to save my life and when people are around i get really nervous and shake etc. whenever i go out (which isnt often for obvious reasons) i get scared and my heart beats really fast (missing some now and again) and feels like its being pulled out of my chest? then i get pains all over my chest and start shaking. when i speak im really quiet and mumble, then get paranoid and refuse to talk. it always does this and i hate it. i just want the confidence to go out and socialize without all this hassle, but i dont know how. my friend thinks ive developed an anxiety disorder from it. what can i do about this? i just want to be normal. ty

Answers:

it sounds like your having panic attacks but i,m no Dr.

i don,t know what to say that hasn,t already been said and i,m sorry this has gone on since childhood but that is in the past and cannot affect you now so all i can do is offer some advice.

1, people are just people only human beings with there own insecurities to deal with.
2, you are no different than anyone else and if you think that a person is full of confidence and stands out, that is because 3/4 of the stuff they come out with is bu**sh***
3,i know to panic is not a nice feeling but just keep thinking it will finish soon and i,m still here nothing will change and i am strong enough to get over this.
4,all walks of life are out there tall,short,fat,slim,handsome,u... butt ugly you name it there all living in this world and we all have to get along. as said earlier if you feel intimidated by someone who,s full of themselves just remember why have they got to be so cocky and 99% of the time is that they are not it,s just an act.
5, when talking to someone be open and honest with them but also make your point and talk to them as you would like to be talked to (manners and politeness don,t cost) and people respect them more than a overconfident loud mouth .
6,as all above, just be yourself and nobody can ask for any more from you. not being truthful to yourself is far worst in the long run.
7, this will pass and you are normal. if anybody ever says different just tell em to F**K O**
