How do you stop emotional eating?

It has been a lifelong struggle for me because I eat out of depression mostly. I don't think there is a way to stop it really.

yes there is! find out what is depressing you. i know it is easy said than done but that happens to be the solution. Also if you could do it write down your feeling, the craving for food before you ate it, what triggered it, how you were feeling etc and how you feel afterwards. Keep a journal. it helps a lot. Most importantly, dont give up! Keep struggling!!
