When someone you know really well, commits suicide, how do you deal with it?!

Question:

When someone you know really well, commits suicide, how do you deal with it?

I just found out this morning that my nephew by marriage hung himself in his Dad's garage. I have known this kid for a long time, and even though I had divorced that side of the family, I became pretty close to Dustin a couple of years ago, he used to come and talk about his problems with me and he would confide in me. He was the same age as my son. 26. So young to die, and things were going so well for him, he got out of trouble, had a great paying job, a new car and a new bike, but the one thing I guess that mattered the most, wasn't there, His lady, and the fear of going back to prison. I can understand why he did what he did, but I still have a hard time dealing with it.. my dad had committed suicide a few years back, and it seems that it is always on my mind in one way or the other. how do yu deal with suicide?

Answers:

As hard as this may seem. Pick yourself up and carry on. Your Nephew is no longer in pain.
