Well, that depends on a few different things. 1. how many milligrams of methadone did you take? 2. Are you opiate dependant? 3.What is the nature of your "freaking out" ? If you are not opiate dependant and have not built up a tolerance for opiates then it could be potentially dangerous, even fatal for you to take this drug. If you took 30 milligrams or less then it's not likely that you will have an overdose, but it is possible. You are most likely going to be very high for about 24 hours, maybe more. If you body is not dependant on opiates methadone is a very strong narcotic.If you are alone you should get a friend there to watch you so if you become unresponsive they can call 911. They can also put you in an ice cold bath to help rouse you.Anyway, you will probably just be very very sleepy and disoriented for awhile. I don't recommend taking methadone again for recreation but if you do, take very little and have a friend around.
