hiya..I am not sure of the exact medical term..
But I believe most Gp's I have heard talking about it just say:
Online addiction or internet addiction or shopping addiction
or ebay addicts..when you google online addiction it come up with centres and sites dedicated to "online or internet addiction"
their words so I am assuming that at the moment is the correct definition.

If one becomes addicted to something you get a high from whatever it is your doing...simply stopping and focusing on something else is not as easy as it sounds..it can be as serious as someone quiting smoking or drugs..that why its called an ADDICTION.
there are thousands out there who do indeed become addicted to ebay or shopping..and some have spent thousands on it to "feed" thier addiction..
