Can you give me advice on staying sane?!

Question:

Can you give me advice on staying sane?

i am soooo stressed out.

i work 25 hours a week at an internship plus 40 hours at a fast food resturant each week.

this means i work 7 days a week, often times 14 hours a day.

i am getting plastic surgery next month.

my boyfriend and i are fighting.

i had sex with a co-worker who is at high risk for having hiv (a former heroin addict and drug dealer who would trade drugs for sex and has been to jail).

omgggggg help me.

Answers:

Try to relax. This is a lot to take in at once I'm sure. First you need to see which of these things is stressing you out the most. Is it the jobs, the surgery, your b/f, or HIV? Why are you working so many hours at your job? I would ask for less hours. I wouldn't be able to handle so many hours. If you can't quit your job, try asking for less hours. Why are you getting plastic surgery? If it's necessary then you need to destress and focus your energy on being calm before and after the surgery. I would also find out about any STDs before the surgery. If you can, postpone your surgery until you are sure or just talk to your doctor about it. I'm sure he/she will know what you have to do. Why are you and your boyfriend fighting? Try to talk with him and try to reason with him. Help him understand that you have a lot going on in your life and you need his support, although you may be fighting on the fact that you slept with a co-worker. If that is the case, decide whether you truly want to be with him or not. If you do, then he should decide how he feels about you and you can go from there. If you don't, then send him packing you've got bigger issues at the moment. HIV...all I can say is get tested fast. When you find out your results, if you do have it, talk to someone you trust. You're going to need them. Look for local meetups of people with HIV or groups in your area. There are a lot of people out there willing to help with the pain of finding out. You can also find a psychologist that can help you cope with these issues. I hope all goes well for you. Remember there is always a light at the end of the tunnel as corny as that may sound. :-) No matter what, live your life, try to be happy, don't waste it. Embrace it - no matter what!
