What do you do on the days where you don't want to get out of bed?!

Question:

What do you do on the days where you don't want to get out of bed?

Brief history, I'm 25, suffered from severe depression which started 3 years ago and I'm coming out of now. I'm on maximum dose of venlafaxine, but I still have days (like today) where I just don't want to get out of bed.

I call them my "can't be arsed" days, days where I don't want to do ANYTHING, not even nice things like watching a film, reading a book, having a bath etc. All I want to do is lie in bed and sleep.

It's 4pm and I'm still not dressed. I tried doing something I usually enjoy (making cards) but I couldn't get in to it at all. I just don't know what to do with myself on days like this.

Any advice?

Answers:

force yourself to get up and go for a 30-60 minute walk

the endorphins will ensure that you feel at least a little better when you get home
