How much trouble would a fistfight get me into? i'm in my freshman year of high school...?

i have been picked on for three years by the same group of *ssholes and now i have to go to high school with them. everyone tells me that high schoool will have more freedom for me and less teachers riding my *ss for no reason. if that is true for me, then it is also true for all of the freshmen. and if there's one thing i know about bullies, it is that they flourish with little or no adult supervision. i've already decided not to take their crap this year so don't tell me not to fistfight. i'm done with nonviolent solutions. if they run up to me slap me in the side of the head and call me f*ggot, and i throw a punch at them, and maybe even knock them out if they don't run away like a b*tch (i'm not a weakling) how much trouble could i get in? would i get expelled the first time, or is it like a three strikes thing? will this follow me around for the rest of my life? i don't want to miss out on yale because i beat an *sshole up, but i do want this to stop.

no no no... i didn't say i was on my way to the ivy leagues. i just said that if by some freak chance, i was having an interview with some guy from yale, and i could just picture him saying "now, everything here looks perfect, except for this thing here... a fistfight with someone leading to a ten day suspension... well... i'm sorry, your just not what this college is looking for... good luck in life." you know... some freak thing like that. i was saying that i don't want to miss out on a chance to go to yale because of a stupid fistfight... i should of said university of illinois... or lakeland...

"zero tolerance" plus you'd be arrested for "simple assault, assault, assaualt w/ weapon, or assault w/ intent"(assuming how bad you beat the person down, you would spend at least 1 night in jail unless you fought on a friday, then you stay for the weekend if its your 1st offense,your lucky w/ anger managment and probation provided that you get a nice judge. but even the nice judges end up gettin pissed off after about the 1st 10 to 20 delinquits before you and the judge has seen them in court more than that 1st time.so if you fight make sure its worth fighting over,and when you go before the juge pray you are 1 of the first 5 and the judge got laud the night before.
