Why are anti-depressant comercials on television so depressing?

I think the aim is for depressed people to see the ad and say "hey that's exactly how I feel" and then go to their doctor and tell them they want that drug. Also they sort of do a before and after thing in some so people tend to think "maybe this drug can make me that happy if I take it".
