If blood alcohol level is 0.233 (male) how drunk would he be?!

Question:

If blood alcohol level is 0.233 (male) how drunk would he be?

The male I'm talking died in a fire. His alcohol level was 0.233 in the autopsy report. I would just like to know if he was so drunk that he was already passed out and how his abilities to function were at the time of tthe fire. I know we'll never really know but this may help is mother some.

Answers:

I don't think you should discuss this with his mother. Nothing is going to being him back---whether he was drunk or not. And nothing is going to make her feel better about how he died. Just be there for her now.

Everyone responds to alcohol differently. But I doubt he was passed out from the alcohol. He probably died from smoke inhalation. That is what usually kills people who die in fires---not the flames. They are already unconscious and unable to breath. Then you combine the smoke with alcohol, he probably didn't know what hit him.
I still wouldn't mention this to his mother. If she has questions about his death, she needs to contact the coroner's office.
