How can I stop being sooo tired?!

Question:

How can I stop being sooo tired?

I wake up, I'm tired. I'm at work, I'm tired. I come home, I'm tired. If it's Friday and I don't take a nap, I'm too tired to go out and do something. I love to sleep. I love to dream. I'm an artist. I'm a musician. I get most of my ideas from dreams.

Should I stop drinking coffee @ work and drink green tea or Energy Drinks instead? Should I eat healthier meals during lunch? If so what should I drink? Same for dinner. Should I eat a real breakfast instead of just skipping it?

I love life, I'm not depressed. I hate my job; currently looking and have been for the past five months for a new one. Maybe it's my job??

Answers:

There are possible physical causes for chronic fatigue (this is not a complete list, search for the keyword if you want more info):
1. Inadequate nutrition
2. Glands overworked
3. Not enough hydration
4. Inadequate sleep patterns
5. Inadequate elimination
6. Disease

For nutrition, yes, you can improve your situation by eating healthier meals. Stay away from processed foods, fried foods, and too much meat. I'm not saying 'become a vegetarian', but balance your meat intake with vegetables and carbohydrates.
Item 2 addresses the fact that too much coffee overstimulates the adrenal glands and then results in them not functioning well, which then results in fatigue. Yes, limiting the coffee intake and taking in more green tea is a good idea (as your own intuition already told you).
Not enough hydration refers to the fact that once you FEEL thirsty, you are already partially de-hydrated. Drink pure, clean water as a habit, and especially if you feel tired.
Too much sleep hurts as much as not enough sleep. I can relate to loving dreams as I am in love with mine. Rather than spending 11 hours sleeping, plan on sleep cycles which are based on natural sleep patterns:
Sleep happens in stages, and each stage lasts about 30 minutes. One complete cycle of alpha, theta, and delta sleep takes 1.5 hours.
Therefore, it is best to plan sleep in increments of 1.5 hours. 6 hours of sleep is better than five. 7.5 hours of sleep is better than eight - and so forth. Do research on sleep cycles on wikipedia, or contact me for more detail.
Inadequate elimination refers to the fact that food which spends too much time in the colon produces toxic gases which are absorbed through blood vessels in the colon and then become part of the blood stream. Make sure you eliminate at least twice a day. Ideal is to eliminate as often as you eat, and within 1-4 hours after eating. The reason for the time difference is that certain foods take longer to pass the digestive process than others. Fruit usually passes through within 30 Minutes to an hour, vegetables within 1-2 hours, starches within 2-3 hours, and meats or other proteins up to 4 hours.
At the head of fatigue-causing diseases is Hepatitis C, but there are other conditions that contribute to chronic fatigue.
I have heard that 1 in 100 Americans have Hepatitis C. For more info on this, Google for it or contact me. You can, of course, also get a blood test from your Doctor!

Mental causes:

Nobody has much energy when they think of the day ahead with dread.
If you hate your job, well, there could be the root of your chronic fatigue. "Just let me sleep" - I don't want to be awake to see, think, or do this......

This should be enough information to get you started with a self evaluation for now.

Oh, and I forgot about breakfast: do not skip breakfast. Your brain needs immediate wake-up nutrition, and the brain functions on sugar - natural sugar that is, and it translates into: FRUIT. Eat fruit for your first breakfast, but before that, drink 8 oz of water to flush out the by-products of cell metabolism that happen during your sleep.
Then eat your 'second breakfast' when you feel hungry.
BTW: if you often ignore your body's signals of being hungry or thirsty, don't be surprised that it 'balks'.
