Residential Treatment facility for mental disorders?

Hey guys, i have been diagnosed with mental illness for quite some time now.
i am 17 and recently started cutting*dont worry the rents know and so do doctors*
anways we realise that regular treatment is not working and so they are going to put me into some sort of facility.

has anyone been into one?
a mental hospital, 30 day treatment facility, residential treatment facility, etc
i get the task of picking out a place and i have found that search engines are of no use.
my doctor says she doesnt really know either but she is checking into it.

ok well please let me know
depressed/suicidal/ self- injuring behavior
just turned 17 years old
looking for a short-term program

ok well if anyone could be of any help i would apreciate it.
nothing seems to be working.

Hi. If you need to go to a mental health facility, then do. And you are doing the right thing to check out where you are going. Of course it will depend on where you live and what you can afford, but you can start by checking with your local Patent's Rights organization. They can certainly tell you where not to go (based on patient complaints, etc.) and suggest places you can go. You can also try contacting your local county mental health ombudsman. Ask, ask again, and keep asking. That's how you will get better. Good luck
