I type my fingers when I'm talking or get nervous?

when i'm excited or animated or just talking in general, i start to what appears to be "typing" my words with my fingers. i know, sounds crazy, right? i used to use meth and i'm thinking that my nerves may be damaged as this just started after i quit. people ask me if i have parkinson's disease or if something else is wrong. i've tried to stop, but it seems that i'm doing it unconsciously -- i'm embarassed to tell a dr. that i'm a recovering tweaker that can't control my fingers. what should i do?

Its not nerve damage, Meth is a drug that makes you extremely paranoid. I believe your still experiencing the withdraw effects of being nervous and paranoid. How long has it been sense you quit?
