Can stress bring on paranoia and delusions?!

Question:

Can stress bring on paranoia and delusions?

Im a 24 year old mother of two, who cannot sleep at night because of money issues, I have a five year old who is very difficult to handle, does not listen to directions, conveniently forgets everything she is told, and completely ignores everything I say if she is in trouble, I also have a two year old son on my hands. I have panic attacks, I can't handle anything in my life. I get upset over everything. I cry every day. I'm always angry. I also stay at home with my kids, and do not get out but twice a month. Lately I have been seeing things that I know couldn't possibly be there. The other day I was taking a video and saw through the lcd screen some sinister looking person in the mirror behind me waving. I am from what I know a completely sane person although I do have some irrational fears. All I wanna know is, could stress be the cause of this or do I need to check farther into it?
I was diagnosed also with PTSD... but I suffer from no flashbacks. I think i was false diagnosed...

Answers:

You are more than just stressed. It sounds like depression and the PTSD you mentioned. I have experienced some of the symptoms you mention and I was seriously depressed. Get help from a professional (doctor or psychiatrist). It does help.
