Is there a link between memory loss and severe depression?
My husband is 47 years old and is going through his 2nd depression phase in 2 years. He attempted to kill himself with overdosing on anti psychotic medication because he can't remember how he used to work. He can't conceive ideas and do his architectural drawings after 20 years of excellent work! He stands to lose it all since he's the only architect in his office.
I'm trying to help by looking for someone to take his place while he goes for treatment but he seems so down. He wants to swallow 40 sleeping pills and die. What can I do. Medication doesn't seem to help...therapy doesn't help...I'm going out of my mind with worry! please advise
