What effects did you experience personally when getting off of Paxil?!

Question:

What effects did you experience personally when getting off of Paxil?

Answers:

Lots....anxiety, crying, loss of appetite, weight loss (a good thing), headaches, couldn't sleep, dizziness the majority of the time. Probably others that I can't remember right now.

Just went off this terrible drug last year (after being on it 10 years).....side effects lasted until about 5 months after the last dose. Wean very, very slow. Even though I did, still had the problems. I went from 20 mg to 15mg, then 10mg with no problem, but then when I got to 5mg is when I started to have the withdrawals. Doc put me on Wellbutrin and that seemed to help somewhat.

Did you know that Glaxo-Smith-Klein were sued because of the addiction to this drug? Google Paxil and check it out.

Make sure you have lots of contact with your Doc to help you out. I wish you all the best getting off this, and remember that it DOES get better!
