Answers:

Hi, sorry to here of your troubles but glad you are trying things to ease your depression.

Diversion tactics are sometimes a good idea. If you keep yourself occupied you have less time to devote to concentrating on your depression and so continue it or make it worse.

Obviously at night when you are lying in bed with your thoughts this can be a problem as you are finding.

Why don't you try exercising in the evenings. This could help you in a few ways -
1. Exercise can use up excess energy and help to regulate sleep. You might find you can get off to sleep easier and without any depressive thoughts entering your head.
2. Exercise produces 'feel good' chemicals - endorphines - in your brain which can help with depression.
3. Exercise will get or keep you fit and toned, which in turn can boost self-esteem which is often an issue with depressed people.

There are many more benefits to exercise and more ways which it can help your depression.
