My husband is on his first day of taking medicine for Bi-Polar and ADHD....?
He took a pill last night and then 3 this morning...he is feeling really weird and sad. He sounds so down.....is this normal to feel this way or is it a definite showing that he is not responding well to the medicine prescribed? He is already thinking about quitting if this weekend doesn't get better!!! Help!!

I know he probably feels like dog poo, because I've been there with ADHD meds. It can take up to a few weeks, and the first week can be really rough. Just hang out with him, watch movies and help him with his net research of the drug he's been prescribed. On the off chance it's Lamictal, that's a toughie, it can take a bit.
If it still sucks after a month, then tell the doc, he may switch it.
I'm sitting here weaning off one and feeling krappy today, so it happens to lots of folks.
