Answers:

I'm so sorry to hear that you are feeling depressed. It could just be sadness, or it could be what they call "clinical depression," which may require medical treatment. Whichever one is your problem, you need to talk to someone about it, and your parents should know.

I think the reason your parents just brush off your problems is not so much that they have problems with work & kids. I think it is probably because they don't know how to help you, and feel helpless. So instead of dealing with the problem, they try to ignore it. They shouldn't do this, and they probably don't realize how serious this problem is for you, or much damage it can do to you and to your relationship with them. Try to be understanding and patient with them, and remember that they are only human too. What would happen if you found a time when your mother wasn't busy, maybe just before bedtime, or in the car, and said really sincerely, "Mom, I really need to talk to you. I love you and trust you, and I don't know who else I can talk to. Would it be okay if we talked for a little while?" I'll bet she would listen to you.

If you can't talk to your parents (I know about that!), try talking to your priest or minister about your problems. You can also talk to one of your teachers, if you trust them. You need to talk to someone, some caring adult about how you're feeling. Maybe they will tell your parents that they need to give some special attention to your problems, and to listen to you seriously. Or maybe just talking to this other person will help you. (Remember, though, don't let someone on the internet take advantage of you while you're feeling down. Never write back to people you don't know, and never, never go to meet anyone you don't already know and trust no matter what they say.)

I know how difficult life can be for kids, and how sad we can be sometimes. I wish you all the luck in the world getting help with your problems.
