Answers:

It really depends on what antidepressant you are taking however most have the same side effects lack of sex drive, loss of appetite, drowsiness (only with certain ones) others pep you up. I was on them for 4 years Lexapro first it pepped me up to get out of my slump and Zoloft second b/c I couldn't afford Lexapro. You have got to take them consistently in order for them to begin to work and in my case I did notice a difference for about 3 weeks it takes time and the will to overcome your depression. After I switched to Zoloft after about 2 years I stopped taking them cold turkey. DONT do that I had anxiety attacks after wards but with family support came out of my slump and dont take any at all. If you are having suicidal or crazy thoughts be sure and confide in your physician it is their job to help you. Good Luck
