Pushing out my Bipolar Room mate.?!

Question:

Pushing out my Bipolar Room mate.?

She wants to move out, then changes her mind (aggressively). How can I subtly "encourage her to leave"? The situation is very bad right now. She cusses at me and argues, and gets even more mad when I am incredibly calm and logical about things. She tries to get me to list things that are bad in the house, things to work out... when they obviously can't. Now she mentions moving out and I'm not sure if she's serious.

Examples of things she doesn't like so far:
Not talking to her, or even acknowledging she's there.
Leaving hints in some way...(notes, things by her room she needs to clean)

She has tried to turn things around.. making it look like I'm kicking her out... then says things like: "If you don't like it so much, why don't you leave? You can afford it, I can't."

Although these things may be true, she is a brat and is used to getting her way. For once I feel she should work hard to do something she wants instead of me making it easier for her for me to just move out.

She is on medication. Lithium to be exact.

We are not great friends, and never were. Only acquaintences. She makes it known that I am a "*****" (during her episodes) tells me I am not important, pretty much down talks me, and I have put up with it thus far..

Answers:

Not everyone has the stamina to endure someone with any form of mental illness. That is not to say that they are any less giving or caring...it just takes a lot of energy. Like I said, some people are more suited to enduring the day to day changes that a bi-polar patient can present. You need to take the initiative to make the changes necessary to "get on" with your life. If that means moving out then you must do it as soon as possible. You can not let anyone emotionally blackmail you into staying in an unhealthy situation. And this is unhealthy for you as it has obviously become close to unbearable. best wishes
