,Definitely not. St. John's wart treats the same brain chemical (serotonin) that Prozac treats. This could lead to bad reactions. If you find that your dosage of Prozac is not enough, an increase should be considered, or a change in medicine may be needed.
St. John's wart is good on it's own but because it is herbal it will take longer to see results. Severe depression on it's own or especially when it is coupled with anxiety should only be treated by a medical Doctor. Do not try to treat yourself.!!!!!Ever!
