Is being extremely self-less a bad thing?!
Question:
Is being extremely self-less a bad thing?
I care more about others than even myself. At first, it probably sounds like self-esteem but its not because I fight over principles and ideas like a choice that seems wrong, I try to help the person by correcting that mistake. Next, I agree everyone is self-ish but I am very little that I only want to help. I don't know what I want in life either. I've taken career test and they all show I can do anything I want. The most recent one said I was average in everything measured with 1 or 2 points different. Another issue is that most people don't believe me at first no matter the issue. I've gotten used to it now but I always have to convince a person no matter what the issue. I'd make a horrible car salesman. Thanks.

As for the career issue, my parents paid someone who supposedly tested my interest and aptitude. From what I remember because it was about 5 or 6 years ago, he had to send in for the results, after they came back, he invited my parents too, he said I can "do anything you can put your mind to." I thanked him and left, on the drive home, I remember saying to my parents that wasn't worth whatever they paid. I bought a book recently about a week ago and that also said average in aptitude. I thought I did everything correct while I was taking it. Some were tough and those were probably why I scored average. Ex: In business, you should care more about the business than the customer. Lastly, since I have no real strong aptitude and no major interest, I'm stuck. I know a lot about computers but not enough to specialize in something. Currently, I work technical support and people yell and complain too much and get easily fustrated. Not good when people don't believe you usually. Help
