My doc prescribed me haldol and cogentin to help me sleep and calm down.?
Anyone else using haldol? I know for one thing it makes me a little drowsy during the day even if I took it the night before and at 1mg. I was just wondering how everyone else was doing on haldol.

Haldol is an excellent anti-psychotic medication. The cogentin is to prevent side effects which can be very bothersome. Any time you start taking any of the psychotropic medications you may very well feel drowsy. This symptom will go away with time and when the therapeutic dosage is reached. Just keep doing what your doc tells you and let him/her know of any concerns you may have. best wishes
