how long did it last what was the best treatment

i wasn't treated til i was about 39 yrs old. as i think back, i had always been depressed but i didn't know it. everyone thought i was just moody and emotional. i was referred to a good therapist by a friend who in turn referred me to a great doc. i was diagnosed with clinical depression and put on celexa. best thing i ever did. still have my bad days but i don't have that defeatest attitude anymore. i am now 46.
