How can I get past my insecurity that my boss would like to replace me?

Do you have any current reason to feel insecure? Have you been written up or verbally reprimanded about your job performance? If not, then you can just deal with your feelings on the issue.
It is normal as we get older to be insecure when it comes to some things. On the other hand, age has brought wisdom and knowledge that the younger crowd won't have for some time. Focus on your positives and what you can bring to the company that a younger employee cannot. What competitive advantage do you have over the other employees due to your age?
If you are really in jeopardy of losing your job, you do have legal rights. You may even be in a protected class (based upon age) to prevent your employer from discriminating against you.
