Question:

What services are available to soldiers returning from combat zones as far as their mental health is concerned

My son is currently in Iraq.
He has also served in Afghanistan. He was diagnosed with PTSS before his deployment to Iraq.
He has been stationed in Hawaii but is going to be sent to Ft Riley in Dec. this year after his tour in Iraq.
Are there any services available to him to help him deal with some of the things he will bring back with him?

Answers:

Absolutely. Just about every service person will be using the mental health services when they come back from combat.
Irwin Army Hospital is right there:

God bless your son for his service.
