Disturbing thuoughts when i hear or see something about molestation?

whenever i watch a movie or hear something about someone being sexual molested, i get very uneasy. does this mean that i was in a similar sitaution when i was younger and cannot remember it? why do these things bother me so much?

ive had bad experiences when i was 17 with an ex bf. maybe this is why?

Your reaction(s) is/are a natural one if you are a human being. I wouldn't go searching your mind for a memory that isn't there. That can be more harmful, dangerous, and damaging. There is a book in circulation, name unknown, that gave a whole bunch of symptoms that said/showed if you were a victim of being molested. As a result, many innocent men and women where convicted and jailed for a crime that they didn't commit based on a false memory.

I also get disturbing thoughts whenever I see a show that deals with molestation. I believe that it is human nature to abhor such despicable acts by monsters in our society. Just don't read into it any more than it is.
