Nardil or ect?!

Nardil or ect?
this is a serious posting- i'm suffering from bipolar depression and have tried many ssris and tricylics unsuccessfully. my doctor, who is new because of the residents always changing, is leaving the choice up to me. does anyone have any experience with either nardil or ect? thank you for ANY support.

ECT is strongly suggested when all viable options have been exhausted. I received ECT's in and outpatient. It was extremely helpful to help with my severe depression. I haven't taken Nardil so I can't offer any advice on that. The side effects I experiences from ECT was headaches, and some memory loss. Seems pretty small things since I am alive here today to answer your question. Its up to you as your doctor said. If you feel that you are a danger to yourself or others and absolutely can't do anything, I'd elect for the ECT's.
