Is having a "sleep debt" a lie?!


Question:

Is having a "sleep debt" a lie?

Some people say that if you get only a few hours of sleep a night, for a few months (as an example) you need to make up ALL the lost hours of sleep eventually or your body will shut down. Is this true? Why won't one good night of sleep suffice?


Answers:

Thats a bunch of brown dookey, It doesn't work that way. Its being off of a 'normal' cycle that causes most of the negative effects of not getting enough sleep. And in the short term, one good rest can cure everything.
