Question:

Ive been havin bad dreams every night 4 the past week, whats causing them? How can I stop them? Is it normal?

Details:

Its the summer.

Iv'e just gotten through with the most hardest and worst school year of my life.

I've been eating alot of meat lately.

Theres been alot of change in my life.

Im now on vacation.

Some of the dreams are about stuff thats actually happened or happening, but with bad twists.

Some of the dreams are about stuff thats has nothing to do with my life, buts just scary.

I recently took one doce of A.D.D. medication, and then stopped taking it.

I have always gotten bad dreams occasionaly, but never in a long string like this.

Answers:

1st things 1st, I know it sounds silly but spicy food before sleep can create some messed up dreams (its a chemical thing).
If not... than you may be facing the fear of failure, everyone has it it just manifests differently with everyone. Sometimes the body is so stressed and on edge during the day while you are conscious that it doesnt allow your brain to release all its subconscious images of potential outcomes. So much of what you may be experiencing may just be the natural chemicals of your body and brain trying to find a way to be processed... I wouldnt worry about it too much, just make sure that you are fully aware of the difference between dream and reality... if you start to find the line being blurry then you may be leaning towards depression in which case go for a run.... find an unreasonable target and go for it... challenge yourself to exceed the expectations you have of yourself... nothing makes you feel better than doing something you never thought you would be able to do... even if it takes several attempts.
