I was thinking they might put me on xanax for sleeping.How long and how sleepy and fast does it work? also what mg ? I have been having panic and need to go to sleep real well and quick for about 2 hrs.thanks

I dont think a doctor would prescribe Xanax (2mg Alprazolam) for sleep disorders. Mainly used for high anxiety.
If you anxiety is bad they might prescribe Valium in small doses.
More than likely they will give you Ambien or Lunesta.
The commercial says they are "non habit forming" but I'd still be careful about depending on a pill to get you to sleep every night, especially if it works.
