Also, my father has had sex with many prositutes.

It's now been 13 years since I left home and I just found out that my mother believes me now. I found this out through one of my sisters. My mother found a bag full of womans clothing.

I'm tryign to figure out what my fathers problem is. I don't know weather it's jsut simply the fact that he likes to wear womans clothing or wetather he's a stalker that like to have a piece of womans clothing to wear or weather he's a sex addict ....please someone help me try and figure this out. I need to have some understanding so i can have closure . I will never be close to my mother again, but I would love to figure it out.

You may feel you need to understand your father to lessen the hurt you feel by the way he and your mother treated you but I don't think you will ever know for sure unless you talk to him. It definately sounds like he had an unhealthy sexual disorder. He may have had a fetish, people with fetishes find non-sexual objects sexy. For example some men get off by having womens shoes. So your father might have gotten sexual pleasure from women's clothing. He may have also been an addict as well as you pointed out. Addicts always need more and maybe your mother could not keep up with the amount of sex he needed so she gave up and he sought satisfaction else where with prostitutes. The bottom line is none of it was your fault. Both your parents had mental problems and for some reason chose not to get help for them or tried but still couldn't get control. What ever they did or didn't do you are the one who is in control of your life now. Do what you need to do to heal but don't lose sight of your own happiness and dreams by focusing on your parents failures.
