Mild OCD - front of mind thinking - how to be 100%?!
Question:
Mild OCD - front of mind thinking - how to be 100%?
I know the above is hardly a question but i need some advice. I have had terrible OCD - negative irrational thoughts. These have got so so mild now. When I am busy, I do not think of these horrible thoughts. But I feel they are still lingering a little in the front of my mind. When I try to analyse all those bad thoughts, it sort of makes them come out a bit more.
when u analyse stuff, the front of ur mind is working. I think that is where all these negative thoughts have been stored.
I was wondering if an antidepressant would help quell these thoughts and just give me a little bit of a boost.
I am not depressed though, i must state. I have heard an antidepressant is good for OCD.
Would this get me back on track for peace of mind?

Answers:
The best way is to verbalise the thoughts by speaking to a trained profssional such as a nurse at your local doctors surgery or a councillor if you think there is an underlying cause, such as a traumatic event.
Verbalising the thoughts forces them to move to a different part of your brain which allows you to deal with them.
