he is married but all I want from him is to keep writing me.It makes me feel good the fact that he thinks about me

It's probably a good thing that he is far away, that way it will be easier for you to let him go.
I don't know of anyone that is happy being in a relationship with a married person.
You give up too much and it is too much work, besides all of the other bad things associated with it!
Give yourself the best present you could ever give yourself, forget him. I am sure you could find a dozen unmarried young men to write you. You may even fall in love and live happily ever after...in time.
