Can St. John's wort help my social anixety?!

Question:

Can St. John's wort help my social anixety?

Just bought some - but am afraid to take it. what if it is addictive, and will it even really help me?

Answers:

St. John's Wort helps with calming nerves. It is not any more addictive than the herb ginger and I don't know of any side effects.
It's not a "happy" pill. It simply takes the edge off anxiety.
Imagine a sharp knife that cuts well. That is anxiety. Imagine a rock, which is SJW. Rub the blade of the knife against the rock for about a minute. The blade will still cut, but not as easily and not as deep.
SJW doesn't work for everyone. It either takes the edge off of the tip of anxiety or it does nothing.
Another herb that does the same thing but has had better results is Valerian root. It's more expensive, but it's worth a try if the SJW doesn't work.
Good luck.
