Why are people depressed?!

Question:

Why are people depressed?

Answers:

All sorts of reasons; Some have an imbalance in the chemical makeup of the brain, and cannot help it. Some have been abused as a child (molested, raped, prostituted) and feel as if it is there fault, some neglected or left by moms, dads and loved ones and don't feel they are worthy of love. Some have taken drugs and altered there state of mind so much they cannot cope without the drugs and become depressed at the lack of self-control. Some have lost loved ones and have never been able to get over it, some are diagnosed with terminal illnesses or loss a limb or suffer some pain and don't feel they can go on. Some just fall to the point of self pity and need attention or an intervention from someone. Whatever the reason the person is depressed and needs help but ultimately is because, I feel, they want to be loved. All the best.
