So tired on Lexapro, thinking about switching, any suggestions?
I sleep so much on this drug and feel unmotivated. Have any of you experienced this and switched to a less sedating medication that has worked? I am being treated for anxiety and depression.
Answers:
Lexapro is a really helpful drug but a side effect can be extreme drowsiness. How long have you been on the drug, often by the the second month your body is used to it and you will no longer have side effects.
If you have been on it for while or can not wait the time to get used to the drug you can try something else.
Wellbutrin is more of a stimulating drug which works well for depression but is not as good for anxiety (due to the stimulating effect)
Celexa is only one molucule different from Lexapro but you may see a difference in side effects.
Also Prozac is also more stimulating than Lexapro but does also take care of the anxiety.
