Should someone who is bipolar and on meds (including lithium) still have manic episodes?

is that even possible?

Answers:

I have been on lithium forever and yes I still have manic episodes. Usually because my does is off, I forgot to take my meds, or something big in my life has triggered it.

meds are not the end all cure - working the illness everyday is what keeps you sane -
