Why cant i change my life around?

I drink all the time i went through a divorce last year and there is a baby involved. because i work at night she is with her dad 90 percent of the time. my boyfriend is in iraq, and i havnt seen my family in 3 years im about to just mentally lose it. so why cant i stop drinking. i would be ok but i think the only time i can get a relase from everyday struggle and life is if i drink. the next day i am so depressed. i cant function. i sleep all day and i cant even take care of my baby when she is home because im too hungover and i have to sleep.i i Cant take it any more.

You need to find a new way to relax and escape from the pressures of your life. Drinking obviously isn't working, because it's giving you even more to worry about. Try meditation, running, art, music, books. Some other way to block out all the bad things and put yourself in a safe place. You know you'll need to do this sooner or later. You can't go on forever like this, for your own sake and your daughter's. Enlist the support of your friends, or join a support group if you feel that might help you. There are lots of resources out there for alcoholism. You're not alone.

[An idea that might help: Get a friend to take all your bottles of beer or liquor or whatever, pour 3/4 of the stuff out, and then fill them the rest of the way up with water and put them back where you had them. That way, if you reach for a drink automatically, you end up drinking mostly watered-down stuff that doesn't contain enough alcohol to get drunk, but still has a little so that you'll drink it anyway instead of rushing to the store to buy more like you might do if you simply threw it all away.]
