What can I do to get more motivated? I need to find a new job since the one I have is going to end.?

This has happened 4 times in the past 7 yrs. I keep getting laid off (due to consolidation) but it's getting harder and harder to be motivated anymore. I try to find companies that are in good shape but it's hard. So many employers seem to lie about stability!!!! I don't trust what HR managers or other managers say anymore. They are all a bunch of liars in my book.

I am depressed and sad about looking for new jobs. I don't even care anymore.......any positive inspiration? Anybody? Help?!!!!

unfortunately we have to learn how to motivate ourselves once we reach adulthood. it's a sad truth but a truth none the less. it seems to me that it's that way no matter what the field is. my husband is facing the same thing right now. we noticed when he went job interviewing that the company makes all kinds of promises to get you to sign on with them but once you do they do the exact opposite. your frustration is a very common one. at least realize that you are not alone in this. that their are thousands of people out there in the same boat as you. if you go to your local library there is a book that you can go through that gives you all kinds of information on businesses out there it may or may not help. i don't remember the namem of the book but someone at the research desk should be able to help you. good luck. my prayers are with you.
