How long should i wean off the anti depressant cymbalta?

ive been on 60mg for 2 years, starting tonight im going to 30 mg, how long should i take 30 mg before going cold turkey?

Oh God, how I feel for you. Withdrawal from any of the anti-depressants is hell. I was on Cymbalta & just came off very, very, slowly.

Dropping from 60mg to 30mg may make you feel like hell. I suggest you go to a health food store & ask about a liver cleanse.

You can also open the capsules (or I did...maybe you should check w/your pharmacist 1st) & pour out half or a 1/4 or whatever & lick the powder & swallow it w/water.

I would drop the dose a little at a time, week by week, if I were you.

Just go slowly. And be gentle w/yourself. And be esp on alert for feelings of suicidal ideation or depression--at which time, you need to call your doc immediately!
