Why does depression hurt so much?
Whenever my parents scold, yell, or say bad things to me, they don't know how much it hurts. It makes me feel very depressed... it just drives all my motivations and my thoughts for the future away.

I went through a similar thing of feeling very depressed and alienated when my parents scolded me and seemed alienated to themselves. I didn't even feel like I could talk to them. The best thing you can do is to talk to someone else--- a close friend, a teacher, a school counselor, or someone else you trust and you know is understanding. Depression is very debilitating, and you don't need it controlling you. Good luck to you.
