Makeup Addiction?

Is it possible for women to be addicted to wearing makeup?
I mean, if a woman wears makeup every day to go to work and refuses to do so without.
I believe that this demonstrates some anxiety. In turn qualifies as an addiction.???

Hi there, Listen I don't know where you live or where the others answering live but a survey was done in the UK and at least 60% of woman would never leave the housem without at least some makeup and I for one like most of my girlfriends would NEVER turn up to work without looking made up and proffesional...
If you start to put on a full face just to go the shops then yes maybe its low self esteem ..but i for one do not go out without some make up due to my bad acne ..I get too many comments....
Most of us woman at some point will go out without any but the trust is that most woman i know wouldn't becuase we are not perfect and most people I see have got something they want to hide..
if you saying that a woman won't even let her man see her without make up then yes thats a problem...
And yes most men like woman that do not put so much makeup on but lets face it....the older you get the more people judge our looks ...Most woman are pretty without it....yes,... but our media, jobs, culture put out a picture or what we should look like...if I turned up for a job interview or a date without any on at all, most people see that as lazy becuase you just havn't bothered with your appearence,,,
So no I think you can only be addicted if you won't go out of the house at all without it and your spending too much time getting ready.
If it was that easy most of the woman at the Debenhams counter would be locked away and Loreal and Borjouis would be out of business!!
