Can someone please explain what a Manic-depressive is and the characteristics of one. Like how they act.

Answers:

Bipolar disorder or manic depression is a psychiatric condition defined by recurrent episodes of significant disturbance in mood. These disturbances can occur on a spectrum that ranges from debilitating depression to unbridled mania. Individuals suffering from bipolar disorder typically experience fluid states of mania, hypomania or what is referred to as a mixed states in conjunction with depressive episodes. These clinical states typically alternate with a normal range of mood. So in simple terms, sometimes you feels really happy, like nothing coould go wrong, and you might even stay awake all hours, then you might feel normal for a while, then you might feel so depressed that you dont even want to get out of bed. There are great medicines out ther though, and it would be good to see your doctor if you have these symptoms.
